What Jewellery to Wear in Hot Weather

When England does eventually hit those warmer temperatures there’s a whole new set of things to consider when it comes to choosing your jewellery. The main factor is the heat and humidity, wearing jewellery that sticks to your skin is no one’s idea of fun but that doesn’t mean you have to step out with no glitz and glamour! We have five types of jewellery we recommend for the warmer months.

anklet.jpgAnklets

Time to put your socks and boots to the back of your wardrobe and fish out your sandals and nail varnish, it’s time to adorn anklets. A thin chain above the foot is so on trend and so light you’ll barely be able to feel it.

Statement Earrings

While winter called for studs to avoid snagging on scarves and jumpers. As we start to don t-shirts and pretty blouses it’s time to invest in a pair of statement earrings, think oversized and dangly.

Delicate Necklaces

If you are wanting to wear a choker style, avoid the thick ribbon styles, which were popular in the autumn and winter. Try a thin leather or metal style instead, or wear a pendant necklace with a delicate chain.

Bold Rings

Small and dainty rings will become uncomfortable in the humidity due to the danger of finger swelling. So, if you are still wanting to wear rings, stick to one bold ring or one on each hand to avoid the discomfort.

Thin Bracelets

Opt for a thin, delicate bracelet that aren’t too tight to avoid any discomfort! While you may favour an arm full of chunky bracelets this will only cause sticky skin which will worsen throughout the day.

Here at Cuttings, we have a range of jewellery that would be ideal to wear in the summer months from these Platinum Art Deco Diamond Drop Statement Earrings to this stunning 18ct Diamond Bracelet.
