Are Good Luxury Watches Often Found at Pawn Shops?

Owning premium watches can bring a great deal of enjoyment to many people. They are often a prized possession due to their craftsmanship, brand name and the overall status they reflect.

Due to these reasons, they are valuable assets to own. Depending on the model, rarity, age, and condition of the watch, they can be worth thousands. As a result, many luxury watches are sold to pawn shops, providing excellent sums of cash to those who need it most.

Here at Cuttings the Pawnbroker, we will be revealing the types of watches you can likely expect to see when visiting a pawn shop.

Rolex watches

One of the most pawned and sold watch brands here at Cuttings is Rolex. Many other pawnbrokers will most likely own many Rolex watches as well, and this is down to several factors. They hold their value very well. In fact, they are one of the top watch brands that retain their value, so a result of this, they will often earn the owner a great sum of money.

Rolex produces a range of different watch models, all of which are very desirable, with some being in more demand than others. Due to this factor, many pawnbrokers will purchase and resell a range of styles, so you should be able to find a great selection of Rolex watches when visiting a pawn shop.

If you would like the view the Rolex range we have to offer here at Cuttings, then you can visit us in our Margate or Ramsgate store, or preview our watch range here.

Tag Heuer watches

Other luxury watches you can potentially find at pawn shops are ones produced by Tag Heuer.

They were established back in 1860 and are also a very desirable watch make, known for its roots in automobile racing.

Similar to Rolex, owners of Tag Heuer watches can also make considerable sums of money by selling to pawnbrokers, so as a result, you may also find a range of Tag Heuer models available in many pawn shops, including us here at Cuttings.

The Tag Heuer Monaco is a highly desirable watch range, with the most expensive model being priced at $70,000! Although it is very unlikely you’ll find extremely expensive styles like that in pawnshops, you should be able to find some excellent styles at more reasonable prices.

Omega watches

Another great watch brand you can find at pawn shops is Omega watches.

Founded in 1848, Omega is a household name with a long history. Omega watches have also been endorsed heavily within James Bond movies, where they have been worn within the majority of movies.

The most well-known Omega watch models emerged in the 1950s, which included the Constellation chronometers, the Speedmaster chronographs, and the Seamaster dive watches. These three models are at the top level of Omega collecting.

Pawnbrokers may own newer versions of these models that are within a great price range, as well as a selection of other fantastic styles.

Here at Cuttings, we will often stock these top models, so take a look at our available Omega watch range here.

These are just some of the different premium watch brands that you should be able to find at most pawn shops.

It is ideal to get in contact with pawnbrokers before visiting to find out if they have certain watch models that you desire, so if you want to get in touch with our friendly team here at Cuttings, then please visit our contact us page and we will be more than happy to inform you if the models we have available.
