The Best Jewellery To Wear In The Spring

With daffodils, bluebells and blossom beginning to make an appearance again, it’s time to introduce some colour to our outfits! The coldest, darkest time of year is behind us and, once again, we can start looking forward to shedding some layers and showing off those our lovely jewellery pieces. Instead of having to hide our bracelets away under coat sleeves, necklaces beneath scarves and rings inside gloves, we can think about digging out those classic pieces to complement our Spring wardrobes, and maybe even buy some new jewellery!

Brooches

There are some beautiful brooches available these days, for men and women alike, especially if you go to vintage fayres and boutique jewellers which specialise in antique jewellery.

Bangles

But now Spring has sprung, it’s time to dig them out and show them off. There are two approaches you can take with bangles, either by layering up thinner, more delicate ones, or by wearing one bold signature piece. We recently sold a stunning 18ct lion bangle with glistening green eyes, and we often have some unusual bangles in our Ramsgate and Margate jewellery shops.

Earrings

From vintage-style clustered studs, to classic gold hoops, Spring is the perfect time to start introducing variety to the earrings you’re wearing throughout the week. It’s easy to find yourself slipping into the habit of wearing the same pair of earrings every day, especially if you have a classic pair of hoops or diamond studs which go with every outfit! Instead of your earrings being an afterthought, Spring is the time to start thinking about the pieces you have which can complement or brighten up your Spring outfits. Do you have a variety of pairs of earrings containing different gemstones? A delicate splash of colour from sapphires, emeralds and rubies add class and colour to any outfit.

Pendants & Necklaces
Cuttings-Jewellers-The-Best-Jewellery-to-Wear-In-Spring-Necklaces.jpgWhat better way to brighten up your outfits this Spring than introducing a colourful necklace to your jewellery collection - or maybe even digging out something from the depths of your jewellery box which you haven’t worn for a while? As the weather gets warmer, and we no longer need to hide our necklaces under scarves, and start wearing open jackets and coats, perhaps now is the time to treat yourself by investing in a statement piece to welcome in the new season.

On cooler days, when wearing a cosy, chunky-knit jumper or a heavier fabric such as denim, a bold statement necklace is the perfect addition to your Spring outfit. Alternatively, on warmer days, when wearing lighter fabrics, we recommend complementing your outfit with a more delicate piece.

Trends vary from year to year, but it doesn’t mean that you need to replace the contents of your jewellery box every quarter! When searching for a new piece to compliment your new season’s outfits, think quality, not quantity. Consider buying more timeless, classic items of jewellery which will brighten up your Spring outfits year on year.

Here at Cuttings the Jewellers, we have a broad range of jewellery pieces and constantly changing stock throughout the seasons. With pieces to suit every budget, it’s the perfect place to visit for advice and jewellery to brighten up your wardrobe this Spring.
