What Makes Rolex A Desirable Brand?

Each year, the Reputation Institute announced that Rolex was the 4th reputable company in the entire world, after BMW Group, Google and Daimler. They consider factors such as Innovation, Governance and Citizenship and, according to the Reputation Institute, Rolex have a high level of trust with their consumers.
History
Hans Wilsdorf founded Rolex in 1905 when many other watch brands were considered to be untrustworthy, and this was the year that the first wristwatch was launched.
In 1914, Rolex earned an impressive “A” Precision Certificate, awarded for their watches’ precision and excellence by Kew Observatory and they have maintained this reputation ever since.
In 1926, Rolex created the first waterproof watch and, in 1945, they invented the very first self-winding chronometer, which was innovative and exciting for its time.
Rolex watches have been worn on mountain-climbing expeditions and for deep-sea diving, and their timepieces are renowned for being reliable in the harshest of conditions.
James Bond
With every model released, Rolex reinforces their reputation as being the leading brand when it comes to hard-wearing and innovative timepieces, so it seemed only natural that Ian Fleming would specify that his protagonist wore one.

Rolex, as a brand, is considered to be highly trustworthy. Although it’s fantastic that this is reinforced by Ian Fleming’s careful choice of James Bond’s signature timepiece, the precision and quality of Rolex watches speak for itself.
