Parting with your old gold jewellery may have been a consideration of yours in the past, but it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the bombardment of “Cash for Gold” advertisements online and on the high street. However, when selling your gold to a trusted jeweller or gold specialist you will find it has many more benefits, beyond the financial appeal.
The first reason to sell your old gold this way is for the ease of the process. It’s not like selling goods through classified ads or online, which requires listing the item and then posting or hand delivering it. You’re also not guaranteed that the item will sell this way, and even if it does, you may not be getting a fair price for it.
Selling your gold to a jeweller or gold expert simply requires you to bring the gold in to the shop (or post it, if you prefer). The gold will then be weighed, a price will be calculated, and you’ll be given the cash – it’s as simple as that.
That’s the second benefit of selling your old gold: instant cash. Whether it’s to pay a particular bill or just to spend on something for yourself, it makes sense to get instant cash for something that is of no use sitting in a drawer at home.
