Vintage

Throughout the years, many brides have been drawn to vintage styles for both their dresses and their jewellery- and this isn’t about to change in 2017. Vintage glamour is a hugely popular trend for weddings this year, with striking, elegant sweetheart necklaces a must. Pearls are also great for weddings, as they complement a range of skin tones and dress colours perfectly. Pearls were worn by many in the 1950’s, and can be paired with dainty pearl earrings in white or a rose-pink hue.

Minimal

Minimal jewellery is the perfect pair for stand out wedding dresses, and it’s going to be big this year. Barely-there jewellery promises a timeless yet modern look, whether you want to choose a dainty necklace and bracelet or some tiny yet extravagant diamond studs. Adding small pops of colour to your minimal jewellery can help to create romantic, contemporary hues, too. Rose gold became an increasingly popular choice for brides throughout 2016, so pairing this with minimalist choices is the perfect way to add jewellery to your wedding outfit without going over the top.

Floral

Adding floral vibes to your wedding day outfit can create a bohemian look that is going to be very much sought-after this year. Floral motifs are a symbol of romance, whilst additional gem stones can make a piece dazzle and completely timeless. Blue sapphires have quickly become popular since Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with his mother’s engagement ring. This gorgeous colour, when combined with floral designs, can be hugely distinctive and unique, adding a little something extra to your gown. For earrings, go for something with a slight drop in order to add a sense of allure and drama to an otherwise understated, alternative and floral look.

Other

There are some popular jewellery choices that have been prevalent since the dawn of time, and aren’t about to disappear into 2017. Family heirlooms are a great way to add meaningful, beautiful and timeless jewellery to your wedding gown, and they can often be re-designed by specialist teams. Your jewellery will still hold the prevalent meaning, but will be more modern and suited to your wedding day look of choice.
