What to expect from Rolex in 2021

Each year Rolex releases new timepieces to the delight of faithful followers. This year is no different. While choosing the right piece for you is a matter of personal preference, not about trends it is always nice to see what is on the horizon. While we expect to see new versions of the Explorer I and II, there were new offerings of the Submariner, Oyster Perpetual and Sky-Dweller. The Explorer II is likely to have some sort of update as it is approaching its 50th anniversary with the brand.

The Newest Iterations

The Rolex Explorer I and II

Originally designed to make it to the summit with Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on Mt. Everest, the latest generation as the original size case – just 36mm. Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the model, the Explorer II offers the same 24- hour display that it is known for but with a 42mm case. But the brand is constantly improving upon its own excellence. Although the Oystersteel is a mainstay with the Explorer model, you will now find the Oyster Perpetual Explorer in a yellow Rolesor which is a mix of Oystersteel and 18 ct. gold. With either a white or black liquor dial and a Chromalight display powered by the automatic Calibre 3230.

The Datejust 36 and the Cosmograph Daytona

Refaced with a new dial the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 featuring a palm or fluted motif, they have three options available – olive green, silver, or golden. Using natural materials combined with technology, Rolex has created vibrant metallic colours. The Oyster Perpetual Daytona is available in 18 ct. yellow, white or Everose gold with a meteorite dial.

The Lady-Datejust

This exquisite piece features 1,089 diamonds that adorn the middle case, bezel, dial, and President bracelet. The making of this timepiece requires both a gemologist and a gem-setter to ensure the intense sparkle that emanates from the piece. We often have second-hand Rolex Ladyjust models available, so feel free to browse our selection online here.

Daydate 36

This beauty contains pave dials with diamond bevels, crowns, and clasps. Choose from coral with yellow gold, turquoise with 18k white gold, or burgundy with 18K Everose gold.
