Where to get your OMEGA watch serviced

The words “OMEGA” and “luxury watch” are interchangeable. That means, if you purchased an OMEGA watch, you likely already know that these watches are designed to stand the test of time and are the epitome of high-class. What you may not know though, is that to ensure your watch will last forever, you’ll need to regularly service it, just like you would your car.

Even if you take the utmost care with your OMEGA watch, you won’t be immune from needing it serviced. Things happen and that’s why it’s important to get ahead of any long-term issues that may arise by regularly getting your watch serviced.

Find out below everything you need to know about what serving entails and where to get your OMEGA watch serviced.

What does servicing your OMEGA watch include?

Getting your watch serviced may be as simple as getting your water resistance checked once a year, or as thorough as a complete service every five to eight years. How often you will need to get your watch serviced, and what type of service you may need, will depend on how often you wear your watch and the elements your OMEGA watch has been exposed to

For a complete service, the servicer will take the watch apart, polish and clean each piece, replace any parts that are damaged or rusting, reassemble the watch back together, remove any lingering dents or scratches, test your watch, and then complete the final quality control check.

Does servicing your OMEGA watch cost extra?

With the purchase of your watch, you are given a twenty-four-month warranty by OMEGA which will replace and/or repair any spare parts and fix any issues that are a result of fault. The only caveat with this is that the watch’s damage needs to be the result of a fault covered by the warranty. If the damage falls under warranty, the watch will be fixed at no extra cost to you.

What is important to note is that this warranty is different than a service. Some warranties may include servicing, but other warranties may omit this. If the service doesn’t fall under your warranty, you’ll want to budget between $100 to $1,000 for this, depending on the type of service you need to be completed.

Where can you get your OMEGA watch serviced?

You don’t want your OMEGA watch to be serviced by anyone – you want a trusted, certified

professional. When it comes to service, there are two options available. The first option is a trusted service provider, where your watch is guaranteed to adhere to OMEGA’s standards of excellence. All of OMEGA’s service partners are trained on adhering to the strict quality requirements set by OMEGA and all these providers have received an “OMEGA authorized service center” certification.

Additionally, you may consider bringing your watch to the same retailer you purchased it from. This retailer is likely a trusted seller of OMEGA, and a retailer you are loyal to, so you can trust they will treat your OMEGA watch with care.
